WHO: The RC clubs of Western Michigan invite all RC Helicopter Pilots, RC Jet Pilots, RC Plane Pilots, RC Car racers, and RC Truck racers to an RC Expo. There is 3800’ of paved Main Runway for jets and giants and a new RC Car/Truck race track for truck and cars. This event is being planned and conducted by the experienced event organizers of several local clubs. ( LCMFA, Twisted Sticks, Tail Twisters, TRAMPS, Reed City Flyers, West Michigan Skyhawks and others.)
WHAT: July 9, Thursday – Free Onsite Camping for Event volunteers & Pilots w/o water, sewer and elec, Open access to all Park Flyer & Heli Fields, the Car Track and the Main Runway for jet and giant maidens and testing, etc.
July 10, Friday – On site camping for Event volunteers & Pilots w/o water, sewer and elec. Open Fun-Fly on Main Runway for all flyers. Open night flying. Open access to Car Track. Food and drink service, vendor displays and sales. Music and other entertainment is provided.
July 11, Saturday – Integrated Air Show & Fun-fly on Main Runway. RC Car races on the Car
Track. All Park Flyer and Heli areas open after Air Show. Air Show includes jets, giant scale
planes and Helis, as well as others on the main runway, Trainer Scramble (A.K.A. Rookie Rat
Race), Warbird Scramble, Plane and Heli aerobatics. Fun-flyers will be integrated into the
show. Food and drink service, vendor displays and sales, Pilot and Driver prizes. Air Show is
free for spectators. No pilot fees. Free lunch for pilots. Music and other entertainment is
WHEN: Set July 9, 10, & 11, 2015 aside for this event. Onsite camping for Event volunteers with other motels and campgrounds with amenities located within one mile of Airport entrance.
WHERE: The West Michigan RC Expo will be held at the Baldwin Municipal Airport in Baldwin Michigan. The Main Runway will be used for the July 11 Air Show. Other Park Flyer & Heli fields and the car track will be open for use before and after the Air Show.
